2018 Entry Fees Inc GST

  • Little Drum Runners: $5 Note: Event is for children under 10 years old riding confidently unassisted as of 30 June. Rider must be an existing ABHA financial member at 30th June 2018 and must not be entered in the classic, junior or open divisional events at the National Finals. Rider and horse can only be entered once. 
  • Exhibition Run: $10
  • Junior: $65 ($45 add back)
  • Open: $150 ($100 add back)
  • Patsie Holder Memorial Classic: $160 ($105 add back) Note: PHMC cards to to be posted with copy of registration paper/proof of age form to ABHA, P.O. Box 1190, Waubra, Vic 3352

  • Junior Divisional (4 Divisions): $2,400
  • Patsie Holder Memorial Classic: $5,000 Plus $500 Per Round
  • Open Divisional (8 Divisions): $9,600

Please note the changes to the entry form this year are designed to make it easier for you, our members.  Should you wish to be eligible for the below Extra  Incentives at this year’s ABHA National Finals your horse must first be registered with the appropriate association and you must complete all the fields relating to that particular incentive.

If your Horse is not registered and/or you do not want to be eligible for the extra incentives, select “No” in the “Is Horse 1 Registered” field. You will then be able to submit your entry and will not be required to complete the registration fields. If you select “Yes” – you will then be prompted to fill in the appropriate fields. Please note, if you select “Yes” all fields are compulsory, you will not be able to submit your entry with blank fields.

Please note the ABHA will not accept any registration details after the entry form has been submitted.

EXTRA INCENTIVE DETAILS

AQHA INCENTIVES - AQHA Fields must completed for each Horse on entry form.

The AQHA are excited to be able to offer the following in the way of Sponsorship/Incentives at the 2018 ABHA Finals to be held in Tamworth at AELEC in September. The Cash Incentives will be as follows:

Patsie  Holder Memorial Classic Barrel Race 

· $1,000 Cash –– Fastest Registered Australian Quarter Horse (eligibility below)

· $500 Cash – Breeder of the Fastest Registered Australian Quarter Horse (eligibility below)

· $250 Cash – 2nd Faster Registered Australian Quarter Horse (eligibility below)

Open  Divisional Barrel Race 

· $250 Cash - Fastest Registered Australian Quarter Horse (eligibility below)

Junior  Divisional Barrel Race 

· AQHA Vest - Fastest Registered Australian Quarter Horse Ridden by a Youth (eligibility below) – a Voucher will be given out so they can order correct size.

· AQHA Rug – 2nd Faster Registered Australian Quarter Horse Ridden by a Youth (eligibility below)

· AQHA Merchandise – 3rd Faster Registered Australian Quarter Horse Ridden by a Youth (eligibility below)

For the AQHA to payout these cash incentives to the highest placed Registered Quarter Horse there are eligibility conditions – Eligibility - To be eligible, horses must be AQHA registered and shown under their full registered name. Owners must be financial members of the AQHA at the time of event. Any payment will be paid to Owner of Registered Horse. If there is a tie, money will be split evenly between winners.

PAINT HORSE INCENTIVE – Paint Horse Registration fields must be completed on entry form.

Buckle – Fastest Registered Paint Horse

SIRE RECOGNITION INCENTIVE  Both Horses must be Registered and all relevant registration fields completed on entry form.

This is OPEN to all Registered Breeds of Horses and is over all three events at the ABHA National Finals.

Eligibility
 -The competing horse must be registered with any Association
 -The Sire of the competing horse must be registered with any Association and must be alive.

Points will be awarded to the Sire of each entered competing horse.

At the completion of the ABHA National Finals the owner of the entered Sire with the most points will be awarded a trophy recognising their Stallion as the ABHA Barrel Racing Breeder of the Year.

An extra bonus prize for the owners of the progeny of the winning sire will be presented. These horses will be required for a photo during the ABHA National Finals Presentations.

Liability waiver form exclusion of certain rights to sue

The purpose of this agreement is to limit the liability of the Provider to exclude liability for any personal injury or death to the Participant and other people/property in the care and control of the Participant howsoever caused who signed this form as acknowledgment of the terms and conditions of this agreement. By signing this form you are waiving your rights to sue the Provider for losses relating to personal injury or death. Under the provisions of the Trade Practices Act and Various State Laws conditions are implied into contracts that mean that the Provider of Recreational Services, noted below, is required to ensure that the Recreational Services it sells to you are: rendered with due care and skill, are fit for the purpose for which they are commonly bought as it is reasonable to expect in the circumstances or might reasonably be expected to achieve the result you have made known to the Provider.

The Participant acknowledges that the activity being undertaken is an activity being undertaken for the purposes of recreation, enjoyment or leisure which involves a significant degree of physical risk. The Provider acknowledges that they are providing Recreational Services detailed below which means; providing facilities for participation in a recreational activity, or training a person to participate in a recreational activity.

The Participant hereby acknowledges that in attending the recreational activity that there are inherent risks involved to him or her or other people in their care and control. This agreement is directed and limited to inherent risks that are patent. The participants also acknowledge that the purpose of the recreational activity is for the benefit of the Participant and for the benefit of those people attending with the Participant and that at all times the Participant is responsible for his or her own actions and the actions of those other people in his or her care and control.

Description of Recreational Services: All sanctioned and approved events of the AUSTRALIAN BARREL HORSE ASSOCIATION. 

Steps taken by the AUSTRALIAN BARREL HORSE ASSOCIATION to avoid the danger of personal injury or death:

  • Providing assistance to affiliates to support those affiliates in the safe conduct of their activities
  • Implementation of a risk management approach to events conducted by the association
  • Publication of resources to support risk management approach of the association and its affiliates

The Participant acknowledges that during all times while he or she is attending the recreational activity he or she does so at his or her own risk and that the Participant and other people/property in the care and control of the Participant will not hold the Provider or any of its employees or agents liable for any personal injury or breach of contract whether caused by the negligence of the Provider its employees or agents howsoever caused or otherwise. The Participant acknowledges that in the event that he or she or any of the other people/property in their care and control, find either or any of them is in difficulty, that they are to stop the activity or request that the activity be stopped if appropriate, and seek help and/or assistance and advice.

Declaration and signature

I understand that the Recreational Services about to be sold to me as set out in this form may cause me or my dependants, personal injury, property damage of death. Additionally I understand that I and my dependants waive our rights to sue the Provider for losses relating to my and or my dependants personal injury or death that result from any negligence caused by the Provider. 

As per Divisional and Junior Barrel Race qualification rules state, it is the rider who qualifies, therefore NO RIDER SUBSTITUTIONS will be permitted. Horse’s whose riders are injured will be scratched.

In the divisional and Junior events, rider may substitute horses in the event of a horse being injured.

Cancellations will be accepted with full refund until the close of entries.

After the close of entries, refunds, less a $25 admin fee per horse, will be only be issued by submitting  a vet certificate for the horse or a doctor's certificate for the rider.
